The 8" RONZ is a very popular size, it's head selection allows the use of this bait to be fished in just about any water depth and condition. Using light to medium weight tackle you can go head to head with any species of fish with this bait. The 8" RONZ will catch just about any fish that can fit the bait into it's mouth. I've hooked Giant Blue fin Tuna accidentally with this bait, so even the real big guys like it. It's taken striped bass up to 50Lbs. and has put many of school tuna and few large school tuna in the boat. This size is quickly becoming a favorite among live eel fisherman looking for a alternative. If you could take only one artificial bait with you on a fishing trip, this surely would be the one. This is the size RONZ I will use in the RONZ $100,000 Single Bait Challenge. This hook is also ideal for catch and release fishing. The single hook jig tends to hook fish in the upper lip. This will result in less gut hooked fish. There is no 2nd and 3rd set of hooks to tear out eyes and cause unnecessary bleeding if you release the fish. I will continue to add new head weights to this size so keep checking the RONZ specification sheet.
